Automatic balancing valve – precision and efficiency in your installation
This automatic balancing valve ASV-PV with capillary, with a nominal diameter of 65DN, is a key element in ensuring optimal operation of heating and air conditioning systems. Designed by Danfoss, it combines functionality, reliability and ease of use. This valve is intended for mounting on the return line, working with a suitable valve mounted on the supply line – models ASV-M/I/BD (up to DN 50) or MSV-F2 (up to DN 100) are recommended.
The ASV-PV valve automatically regulates the flow of heating or cooling medium, maintaining a constant differential pressure in the installation. This ensures even distribution of heat or cold throughout the system, eliminating problems with underheated or overcooled rooms. This translates into user comfort and potential energy savings.
Construction and application
The valve is characterized by a solid cast iron construction and flanged connections (PN 16), which guarantees its durability and corrosion resistance. The built-in capillary allows for precise adjustment of the differential pressure in the range of 0.6-1 bar, adapting the valve's operation to the specific needs of the installation. The Kvs value at 48 indicates a high flow rate, making it an ideal solution for larger installations.
ASV-PV valves are particularly recommended for use in underfloor heating systems, fan coil units and air handling units. The possibility of draining the valve (no drainage) facilitates servicing and maintenance of the installation. The maximum continuous operating temperature is 120°C, and the maximum differential pressure at 20°C is 400 kPa.
Advantages and benefits
- Automatic balancing: Eliminates the need for manual flow adjustment, ensuring stable system operating conditions.
- Energy saving: Even distribution of heat/cold reduces energy losses and lowers operating costs.
- Durability and reliability: Made of high-quality materials, resistant to corrosion and mechanical damage.
- Precise regulation: The ability to set the differential pressure over a wide range (0.6-1 bar) allows for optimal adaptation to the needs of the installation.
- Easy installation and servicing: The valve design facilitates its installation and subsequent servicing and maintenance.
- Versatility: Suitable for use in various types of heating and air conditioning installations.
- High flow rate: The Kvs value of 48 ensures efficient flow of working fluid even in large systems.
