Balancing valve MSV-F2 PN 25 DN 125 003Z1074
Manual balancing valve with flanges and shut-off function
The MSV-F2 DN 125 PN 25 valve is an installation component designed for precise flow adjustment in heating and cooling systems. It is made of ductile iron EN-GJS 400-15, ensuring pressure resistance and long-term durability under industrial conditions. The flange allows direct installation into the pipeline without the need for additional adapters, in accordance with EN 1092-2.
It features a built-in shut-off function, enabling isolation of installation sections without draining the entire system. The Kvs value is 304.4 m³/h, meaning the valve can handle high flow rates with minimal pressure loss, which is crucial for balancing large circuits, such as those in commercial buildings or cooling centers.
Construction and practical features
The valve is equipped with a handwheel featuring an integrated lift limiter and setting lock – once the value is set, it can be locked to prevent accidental changes. A pointer on the handwheel facilitates quick visual inspection of the opening degree. It is supplied standardly with test needle valves, allowing flow measurement without valve disassembly, significantly accelerating the balancing process.
A maximum operating temperature of 150°C enables its use in high-temperature systems where other components might fail. It is asbestos-free and complies with RoHS requirements, which is important when designing installations meeting current environmental standards.
Application and benefits for the installer
Installation is possible on both supply and return pipelines, offering flexibility in system planning. The valve requires no electrical power or control, operating purely mechanically, which ensures reliability even during power outages. Its large diameter (DN 125) makes it ideal for balancing main risers or branches with high flow rates.
The Kvs value of 304.4 m³/h means that additional reductions or branchings are unnecessary; the valve itself is sufficiently efficient for high loads. During installation, no specialized equipment beyond the PFM100/1000 meter is required – everything can be completed in one step: setting → locking → measurement.
A weight of approximately 33 kg indicates a robust construction, eliminating concerns about fragility during transport or installation. This is a component designed for operational conditions, not merely for display.
