Condensing boiler adapted for 20% hydrogen

This is a wall-mounted, single-function condensing gas boiler, designed to work with natural gas and simultaneously adapted to burn a mixture containing up to 20% hydrogen — one of the few options on the market that are already preparing the installation for future fuels. Adaptation to propane does not require an additional kit — a simple adjustment by the installer is sufficient.

The heat exchanger has a toroidal shape with a single coil, made of stainless steel. This solution minimizes the risk of corrosion and allows for stable operation at low return temperatures — crucial for efficient operation in condensing systems. The warranty for this component is 5 years.

Efficiency at 30% load and a return temperature of 30°C is 109.7%. At full load (80/60°C), the useful efficiency is 105.6%. These values are the result of the efficient use of latent heat in the flue gases — particularly beneficial in low-temperature systems, such as underfloor heating. Seasonal space heating efficiency (ɳs) is 94%.

Design and installation — for the installer and the user

The boiler has a very compact design: 395 x 700 x 285 mm and weighs only 29 kg — easy to transport and install even in limited spaces. The delivery set already includes a Ø60/100 mm flue gas outlet nipple — no need to purchase additional components.

Possibility of connection to many types of flue gas discharge systems:

• chimney (B23p, C93 approvals),
• air/flue gas duct (C10, C13, C33),
• distribution system (C53) or collector system (C43).

This provides flexibility during modernizations and new installations — there is no need to change the existing flue duct.

The air/gas module contains a modulating burner from 5.8 kW — it operates smoothly, without power jumps. The fan has a noise-damping system for air intake — the acoustic level in the room is 51 dB. A non-return valve prevents flue gas backflow under negative pressure.

The brass hydraulic module contains an A-class modulated pump (EEI < 0.23), a 3 bar central heating safety valve, a flow limiter, and a flow detector — all of which ensure stable operation without additional components.

A 7-liter expansion vessel is built into the supporting frame — no need to install an external expansion.

The water capacity of the boiler itself is 2 liters — providing a fast response time to temperature changes.

Control and safety

The control console with a backlit LCD and functional buttons allows for simple selection of operating modes and access to the service menu. An optional QAC34 outdoor temperature sensor can be connected to it — allowing for automatic adjustment of the boiler power to weather conditions.

Nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions are below 30 mg/kWh — NOx class 6, the lowest possible. This is not only ecological but also meets the most restrictive local emission requirements.

Power supply: 230 V / 50 Hz. IPX5D protection rating — resistant to dust and water splashes. A safety thermostat operates at 105°C. Maximum working pressure: 3 bar. Operating temperature: from 25°C to 70°C (maximum up to 80°C).

Rated output at 80/60°C is a maximum of 24 kW, and the regulation range is from 5.8 kW to 26.1 kW at an operating temperature of 50/30°C — allowing for precise power adjustment to the installation needs without efficiency losses.
