Boiler temperature controller – intelligent heating control

The Ekoster 430E RS controller is a microprocessor-based device designed for precise control of an electric boiler and its associated heating system components. It allows for efficient maintenance of the set temperature, as well as control of central heating circulating pumps, domestic hot water heater and circulation. This solution is suitable for both new and modernized installations, providing thermal comfort and energy savings.

Functionality and expansion options

The device offers a wide range of functions that allow you to adapt the heating system to individual needs. In addition to basic boiler control, the controller enables:

• Central heating circulating pump control – ensuring optimal heat circulation in the installation.
• Domestic hot water priority – the ability to enable or disable the priority of preparing hot water.
• Control of the pump charging the DHW heater – adjusting the pump operation to the demand for hot water.
• Control of the circulation pump or underfloor heating pump – expanding the functionality of the heating system.
• Weekly program – the ability to set a work schedule for the boiler and DHW pump, adapted to the rhythm of life of users.
• Legionella protection – a function protecting the DHW installation against the development of Legionella pneumophila bacteria by regularly heating the water to a high temperature.
• SUMMER mode – the possibility of using the controller to control the heating system in the summer period, e.g. for heating domestic water.
• COMFORT SYSTEM function – protects pumps against scale build-up, extending their life and ensuring reliable operation.
• Protection against freezing and overheating – protects the installation from damage caused by extreme temperatures.

An additional advantage of the controller is the possibility of expansion with DKMZ 1 modules, which allow you to control additional heating circuits with a pump and 3- or 4-way valve, cooperating with room controllers - this solution is ideal for more complex heating systems with zone division.

Safety and reliability

The Ekoster 430E RS controller is equipped with a number of safeguards that guarantee safe and reliable operation:

• Thermal protection system – protects the boiler from overheating in the event of a failure of other heating system components.
• “TERMIK” thermal fuse – an additional mechanical protection of the boiler against uncontrolled temperature increase, increasing the safety level of the installation.
• Temperature sensor failure indication – informs about any problems with the sensors, enabling quick reaction and repair of the fault.
• Electrical protection - two 5A fuses protecting the device against overload and short circuit.

The controller is designed for easy installation and operation, and its solid construction ensures long-term operation even in difficult working conditions (ambient temperature from 0°C to +40°C). It is equipped with adjustable display brightness for comfortable use and the possibility of connecting a room thermostat for even more precise temperature regulation in the rooms.
