Portable power on construction sites, in the field, and at campsites

The TD-S/FI camping distribution board is a complete solution for temporary electrical power distribution in locations without permanent infrastructure. Equipped with four Mennekes industrial sockets with a voltage of 230V and a rated current of up to 16A each, it allows for the simultaneous powering of several devices - from power tools to work lighting. The surface-mounted enclosure with dimensions 360 × 250 × 185 mm accommodates a single row of modules (12 modules), ensuring the entire unit maintains a compact form and presents no problems during transport.

The construction based on technopolymer with polycarbonate doors ensures adequate rigidity with relatively low weight. The front plate is maintained in a neutral gray color RAL 7035 - highly visible and recognizable on a construction site. The rear plate is black. The EPDM rubber gasket and IP44 protection rating mean that the distribution board handles loads typical for outdoor conditions: dust and water splashes. The mounting screws are made of stainless steel.

Protection and internal apparatus

Each socket is protected by a dedicated RCBO - RCBO B16A 30mA type A, two-pole, with a breaking capacity of 10 kA. This type of apparatus performs two functions simultaneously: it protects against circuit overload and reacts to residual current (protection against indirect contact). Type A signifies the ability to detect both sinusoidal and pulsating DC currents - important when powering electronic devices.

The main circuit isolation is provided by an SEZ isolating switch with a rated current of 63A in a 3+N pole configuration. It allows for the safe disconnection of all live conductors and the neutral conductor before service work.

The wiring is made of H07V-K flexible cables: live conductors 2.5 mm² (black and blue) and a thicker blue neutral conductor 6 mm² - to maintain appropriate current-carrying capacity with a total current draw of up to 32A. A PG-16 cable gland is included, allowing for the introduction of the power supply cable.

Typical installation sites

Primarily construction sites - both during the construction of single-family houses and during larger road investments. The Mennekes industrial sockets allow for the connection of typical construction equipment without adapters. In automotive workshops and garages, the distribution board serves as a distribution point during maintenance work.

The second key application is green areas and outdoor events - campsites, festivals, outdoor fairs. In such conditions, mobility (surface mounting facilitates transport), clear status signaling, and the ability to quickly disconnect the entire unit from the grid using the main switch are crucial.

Standards, certificates, and manufacturing quality

The enclosure meets the requirements of the IEC 670 and CEI-23-48/49 standards, confirming its suitability for temporary installations within the European Union. The RCBO switches hold a VDE certificate and comply with DIN EN 61 009-1 and DIN EN 61 009-2-1.

The manufacturer - Doktorvolt - has implemented a quality management system certified by TÜV SÜD according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. This means repeatability of the production process and control of every delivered unit before shipment.

The distribution board operates at a mains voltage of 230V and a frequency of 50Hz. At full load of all sockets, it draws up to 32A, and its short-circuit current capacity ICC reaches up to 10 kA. An RDF coefficient of 0.6 reflects the intermittent duty cycle typical for construction sites - the device is not designed for continuous maximum load 24 hours a day.
