Compact power supply for construction sites and workshops

The FRED construction distribution board is a ready-to-use distribution device designed for temporary electrical power in locations without a permanent installation - on construction sites, during roadworks, in automotive workshops, or during outdoor events. A complete set of sockets and wiring is housed in a single, compact surface-mounted enclosure.

Enclosure design and electrical equipment

The hermetic surface-mounted box is made of PVC plastic. The enclosure has dimensions 245 × 195 × 95 mm, the front plate is RAL 7035 grey, while the rear plate is black. The protection rating is IP44 - resistance to objects larger than 1 mm and splashing water from any direction.

The heart of the distribution board consists of single-phase Schuko system (Type F) sockets and three-phase CEE power sockets:

• Two single-phase sockets of the Schuko system (Type F) with a voltage of 230 V / 16 A, ingress protection rating IP54, blue color;
• Two three-phase power sockets CEE 400 V / 16 A, ingress protection rating IP44, red color - intended for industrial machines, welders, and compressors.

The rated current of the entire device is 32 A, and the short-circuit withstand current ICC is ≤ 10 kA. An RDF coefficient of 0.8 allows for the consideration of expected load when designing installations.

Internal wiring is made of H07V-K flexible control cables with cross-sections of 2,5 mm² (phase and neutral wires) and 4 mm² (yellow-green protective conductor). The included PG-16 cable gland enables the tight entry of a connection cable with a cross-section of up to 16 mm².

Applications

The FRED distribution board is effective everywhere temporary or semi-permanent electrical power is needed:

• Construction site - foundations, shell construction, and finishing works;
• Roadworks - powering a concrete mixer or a concrete pump;
• Automotive workshops and garages - connecting a hydraulic lift or a welder;
• Outdoor events - powering sound systems or tent lighting;
• Green areas - servicing catering stands and gardening equipment;
• Maintenance work in open areas.

Standards and certificates

The manufacturer declares compliance with the IEC 61439 standard, which specifies requirements for factory-assembled switchgear and controlgear assemblies - this applies to both mechanical strength, the ability to carry rated currents, and resistance to environmental conditions. The entire unit meets the requirements of the CE EU directive.
