Mobile power on the construction site and in the field

The FRED construction distribution board is a compact distribution device designed for temporary electrical power supply in locations where no permanent infrastructure exists. Equipped with two types of sockets - single-phase 230 V and power 400 V - it allows for the simultaneous connection of both small equipment (drills, work lighting) and machines requiring three-phase power (concrete mixers, welders, generators).

The PVC housing has dimensions of 245 × 195 × 95 mm and is surface-mounted. The front plate is grey RAL 7035, and the rear is black. The set includes a PG-16 cable gland, allowing for the entry of a connection cable with a cross-section of up to 16 mm². The maximum rated current of the distribution board is 64 A, and the short-circuit strength ICC is ≤10 kA.

Sockets and their purpose

The device is equipped with two single-phase sockets of the French-Belgian system (Type E) - blue, 230 V / 16 A, IP44 class. These are complemented by two CEE power sockets of the same standard:

• 400 V / 32 A (red, Type 3451) - for high-power machines,
• 400 V / 16 A (red, Type 1385) - for smaller three-phase devices.

All sockets have an IP44 ingress protection rating, which means protection against solid objects >1 mm and splashing water from any direction.

Internal wiring

The interior of the distribution board is factory-wired with H07V-K control wires. Wires in three insulation colors are used:

• yellow-green (protective) - cross-section 4 mm²,
• black (phase) - cross-section 4 mm² / 2,5 mm²,
• blue (neutral) - cross-section 4 mm² / 2,5 mm².

This selection of cross-sections ensures safe current conduction under full load of all sockets simultaneously.

IEC standard and TÜV SÜD certificate

The manufacturer has implemented a quality management system certified by TÜV SÜD according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. The distribution board itself meets the requirements of the EU CE directive and the IEC 61439 design standard, which specifies the conditions for the production and testing of factory-assembled switchgear. The simultaneity factor at a level of 0,8 informs the designer of the expected degree of installation load when all circuits are used simultaneously.
