Construction distribution board for temporary power supply
The HL distribution board by Doktorvolt is a compact device adapted for the temporary distribution of electrical energy in locations without permanent power infrastructure. Equipped with four sockets with different parameters - two single-phase sockets 230V 16A and two power sockets 400V (respectively 16A and 32A) - it allows for the simultaneous powering of both small hand tools and high-power devices. Each socket has an IP54 ingress protection rating, meaning it is dust-tight and protected against water jets falling from any angle. The entire unit is delivered with complete internal wiring - simply connect the power cable and you are ready to work.
The device is ideal for construction sites and roadworks, industrial plants requiring a temporary connection, as well as car workshops or garages where powering heavy-duty equipment is necessary. During the self-construction of a single-family house, the construction distribution board enables comfortable work for finishing crews without the need to lay temporary extension cords over long distances. It can also be used to power green areas during outdoor events or maintenance work.
Enclosure - durability in harsh conditions
The enclosure made of technopolymer is a solution resistant to mechanical impacts up to IK09, which translates to resistance against accidental tool strikes or falls from a small height. The front plate is grey RAL 7035, while the rear plate is black - this is a typical color scheme for industrial distribution boards that facilitates quick identification of the device in a hall or on a site. The door is made of polycarbonate with a transparent insert allowing for monitoring the status of the devices without opening the enclosure. A foam gasket around the door ensures a sealing level of IP44.
The enclosure has passed the glow-wire test at a temperature of 650°C, confirming its resistance to the effects of arc faults and high ambient temperatures. The rated voltage is 750 V AC, and the mounting screws are made of stainless steel - they do not corrode even when working in the open air for extended periods. The enclosure dimensions are 240.5 × 180 × 110 mm, and the mounting is surface-mounted - it does not require a recess or an additional frame.
TÜV SÜD certificates and IEC 61439 standard
The manufacturer has implemented a quality management system certified by TÜV SÜD and holds ISO 9001:2015 certification. The distribution board itself meets the requirements of the IEC 61439 standard regarding low-voltage modular switchgear - this is an international standard defining construction conditions, mechanical strength, and the ability to carry rated currents. The enclosure is additionally compliant with EN 60670-1 and EN 60670-24 standards, which describe the requirements for electrical equipment enclosures.
Each power socket (CEE) has the same IP54 sealing standard - red three-phase sockets can be easily distinguished from blue (single-phase) ones, minimizing the risk of mistakenly connecting a device to the wrong circuit.
Installation and operation
The distribution board operates in a temperature range from -25°C to +60°C, so it will easily withstand both a freezing Polish winter on an unheated construction site and summer heat. The set includes an LZ-4 terminal block allowing for wire distribution inside the enclosure. The device does not contain internal overcurrent devices or RCDs - this is a deliberate design choice allowing the installer to match the protections to the specific location and applicable regulations. To facilitate cable routing, the manufacturer has provided a PG-16 type cable gland as an optional accessory.
