Application on construction sites and in the field
The TD-S construction distribution board is a compact solution for electrical power distribution in conditions where standard fixed installations do not exist or are unavailable. The device provides three independent single-phase circuits at a voltage of 230 V, each protected by a C16 circuit breaker with a breaking capacity of 10 kA. The rated current of the entire device is 48 A, allowing for the simultaneous power supply of many power tools and work machines - from drills and grinders to welding generators or compressors.
The enclosure, with dimensions of 360 × 250 × 185 mm, accommodates 12 modules of modular components in a single row. Surface mounting allows for quick hanging of the box on the wall of a temporary hut, a trailer, or even on a utility pole - without the need for drilling deep holes or installing dedicated bases.
Enclosure resistant to harsh conditions
The enclosure construction is based on technopolymer - a plastic with high impact strength and mechanical resistance. The front plate is grey RAL 7035 in color, while the back is black. The door is made of polycarbonate, which maintains transparency and flexibility even at negative temperatures - a typical scenario on winter construction sites.
A sealing level of IP44 means protection against solid bodies >1 mm and against splashing water from all directions. This is ensured by an EPDM rubber gasket fitted around the entire perimeter of the door. The mounting screws are made of stainless steel, which eliminates the problem of thread corrosion during long-term exposure to moisture - typical for construction sites in autumn or early spring.
The rated voltage of the enclosure is 1000 V AC, so the design will easily withstand temporary network surges without the risk of an internal arc. The set also includes a PG-16 cable gland, through which the power cable is routed - the hole is already factory-prepared, saving the installer time on additional bending and sealing.
Sockets and full wiring
Each of the three sockets is a product from a renowned European manufacturer of industrial fittings. The sockets operate in the French system (Type E) with a grounding pin in the center, which is the standard in France, Belgium, the Czech Republic, and partially in Poland. The parameters for each socket are 230 V / 16 A / IP44 / 2P+E.
Behind each socket is a dedicated C16 1P 10 kA circuit breaker mounted on a DIN rail. The rail has a cross-section of 10 mm² and is equipped with a complete set of covers - once the breakers are installed, the whole assembly looks professional and is safe for any potential expansion.
The internal wiring is made of H07V-K flexible wires with a cross-section of 2.5 mm²:
- yellow-green wire (protective) - grounding pins of all sockets,
- black wire (phase L) - distributed into three circuits behind the breakers,
- blue wire (neutral N) - common neutral busbar.
The entire unit is factory-connected and ready for immediate use - it is only necessary to connect the power cable to the PG-16 gland.
