Comprehensive construction site power supply
The TD-S/FI distribution board is a ready-to-use distribution device designed for the temporary power supply of construction sites, workshops, industrial zones, and outdoor areas. Unlike simple distribution boards without protection, the TD-S/FI model offers full overcurrent protection for every circuit and an RCD - which means real protection against electric shock from indirect contact.
The IP65 ingress protection rated enclosure allows for operation in outdoor conditions without additional protection against rain or dust. The dimensions of 360 × 250 × 185 mm fit within a standard surface-mounted enclosure housing one row of modules (12 modules). The front plate in grey RAL 7035 facilitates device identification among other installation elements on the worksite.
Sockets and connection possibilities
The device is equipped with four sockets with different parameters. Two Schuko sockets (230 V / 16 A, 2P+E) with IP68 ingress protection allow for the connection of standard power tools and office equipment - drills, grinders, work lighting, or chargers. The higher IP68 rating of these sockets ensures full dust-tightness and protection against water immersion.
Complementing these are two 5-pole power sockets (400 V) - one with a rated current of 16 A and one of 32 A - both in IP67 ingress protection. They support equipment requiring three-phase power: concrete mixers, transformer welding machines, piston compressors, or submersible pumps. The higher IP67 protection class is particularly important on construction sites, where accidental contact with water is a real scenario.
Electrical protections
Each circuit has a dedicated overcurrent protection - this eliminates the risk of one device failure causing a power loss to the others:
- C16 single-pole circuit breakers (2 pcs.) - protect the Schuko socket circuits; the C characteristic allows them to tolerate short-term motor starting current surges without unnecessary tripping.
- C16 three-pole circuit breaker - protects the 400 V / 16 A power socket circuit.
- C32 three-pole circuit breaker - protects the largest power socket circuit (400 V / 32 A).
All circuit breakers have a short-circuit breaking capacity of 10 kA, ensuring safe interruption of the electric arc even in the event of a fault near the distribution board.
The 40 A / 30 mA type A RCD provides protection against indirect contact. In practice, this means immediate power disconnection in a situation where a person touches a live conductive part.
Enclosure and operating conditions
The enclosure is made of technopolymer - a material resistant to mechanical impact and atmospheric conditions. Polycarbonate doors provide visibility of the equipment status without the need to open them. The EPDM rubber seal maintains flexibility across a wide temperature range (it does not harden in the frost like foam tapes). Stainless steel mounting screws do not corrode even with repeated opening.
The rated voltage of the enclosure itself is 1000 V, providing a safety margin relative to the actual operating conditions of a construction installation. An RDF coefficient of 0.7 informs of the permissible continuous load - the device can be operated at a level up to 28 A for an indefinite period without overheating.
Production is carried out in a certified quality management system according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. The distribution board meets the requirements of the CE directive, the IEC 61439 standard for factory switchboards, and holds certificates for individual components - the modular equipment has EFS/EFC/VDE certification.
