Construction distribution board for temporary electrical installations

The XS series electrical distribution board is a fully assembled and wired distribution device designed for temporary power supply on construction sites, in warehouse halls, and during renovation works. The stationary design with enclosure dimensions of 224 × 133 × 110 mm allows it to be mounted on a wall or a stable surface anywhere. The enclosure, made of durable plastic—grey front panel, black rear panel—is UV resistant and operates reliably in temperatures from −25 °C to +50 °C, making it suitable for both freezing mornings and summer heat.

Socket configuration and connection possibilities

The distribution board is equipped with two single-phase Type E sockets (230 V, 16 A) with a protective pin and one three-phase CEE socket (400 V, 32 A). Type E is the French-Belgian standard with a grounding pin, guaranteeing a correct connection to devices equipped with a protective conductor. The three-phase socket enables the connection of devices requiring three-phase power.

The entire unit is factory-wired with high-quality cables. H07V-K cores with cross-sections of 2,5/4 mm² are used: black phase conductors, blue neutral, and yellow-green protective conductor. The rated current of the device is 48 A, with a rated voltage of 230 V / 400 V at a frequency of 50 Hz.

IP44 protection and outdoor operating conditions

The IP44 protection rating means the enclosure is sealed against solid objects larger than 1 mm and against water splashes from any direction. For a distribution board operating outdoors or in damp rooms, this is the minimum required to ensure safe operation. Two rubber cable glands included in the set seal the cable entries and protect against accidental contact of the wires with moisture.

The inspection window allows quick access to internal connections without the need to dismantle the entire enclosure—useful for potential inspections or minor installation modifications.

Certificates and scope of delivery

Production takes place under the TÜV SÜD ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, and each device undergoes individual tests confirming compliance with the IEC 61439 standard. The CE declaration proves compliance with EU directive requirements regarding the safety of electrical equipment.

The set includes wall plugs and two rubber cable glands—the installer receives a complete solution ready to be hung on a wall and connected to power cables. The absence of factory overcurrent protections allows for the selection of circuit breaker characteristics to suit a specific installation—Type C or D is chosen according to the type of load.
