Complete power supply on the construction site

The TD-S/FI SKHU construction distribution board is a ready-to-use distribution device that allows for the safe connection of both mains-powered tools (230V) and power equipment (400V) in conditions typical for construction sites, workshops, and industrial installations. The built-in residual current device provides protection against indirect contact - each socket is protected by a dedicated MCB, so a fault in one circuit does not paralyze the others.

Sockets and circuit configuration

The device is equipped with two Schuko sockets (230V, IP54) for powering power tools, work lighting, or office equipment. Both operate via a common TH/TS35 rail and are protected by C16 1P 10kA MCBs - the C characteristic allows them to tolerate short-term current spikes during motor startup (e.g., in drill mixers) but react quickly to short circuits.

For heavier applications, two Mennekes brand CEE power sockets (IP44) are provided:

• 400V / 16A - for welders, compressors, or concrete mixers,
• 400V / 63A - for large construction machinery requiring robust power.

Each power socket has its own MCB (C16 and C63 respectively, both three-pole). The setup is completed by a Type A residual current device, 63A / 30mA, which monitors current leakage in the main circuit and disconnects the power upon detecting a dangerous difference between the phase and neutral conductors.

Housing and mechanical design

The distribution board is mounted on an aluminum stand with a handle, allowing it to be placed on the ground without additional fasteners - a typical solution for roadworks or open construction sites. The housing itself is made of technopolymer (polycarbonate door), ensuring resistance to mechanical impact and weather conditions.

The body dimensions are 360 × 250 × 185 mm; after mounting the transport handle, the height increases to 495 mm, facilitating easy access to the sockets without bending down. The front plate is gray RAL7035 - a standard in industrial electrical fittings - while the back plate is black.

The housing protection rating is IP44, which means an effective barrier against objects >1 mm and water splashes from all directions. The EPDM rubber seal maintains flexibility even at negative temperatures. The mounting screws are made of stainless steel - they do not corrode even with long-term exposure to moisture.

The set also includes a PG-29 cable gland allowing for the introduction of an additional cable - useful for expanding the installation or permanently connecting a second consumer.

Wiring and connection

The distribution board is supplied with an H07RN-F connection cable with a conductor cross-section adapted to the full load of the device. The CEE 63A / IP67 plug allows for direct connection to a distribution board or a power generator - the IP67 rating means dust-tightness and resistance to short-term immersion in water, so the connection is safe even during rain.

Internal wiring is made of H07V-K flexible cables in three insulation colors (yellow-green as protective, blue as neutral, black as phase) - standard wire identification facilitates any potential diagnostics or expansion.

Production takes place in a management system certified by TÜV SÜD ISO9001:2015; the device meets CE and IEC61439 standards requirements regarding low-voltage switchgear.
