Mobile power supply on construction sites and in the field

The FRED construction distribution board from the Doktorvolt® series is a compact distribution device designed for temporary power supply in locations where there is no permanent electrical infrastructure. The enclosure, measuring 245 × 195 × 95 mm, houses all necessary elements in a single compact surface-mounted box - this ensures the distribution board does not take up much space and is easy to transport between workstations.

The front plate in grey RAL 7035 blends well with typical equipment found on construction sites and industrial areas. The rear plate is black, which further masks any dirt that may occur during operation.

Sockets, internal wiring, and readiness for work

The distribution board is equipped with three single-phase 230 V / 16 A sockets in blue - this is the French Type E system, commonly used in Europe. These are supplemented by two three-phase 400 V / 16 A power sockets in a red housing (Type 1385), which allow for the connection of power tools and machinery requiring heavy-duty power - e.g., concrete mixers, welders, or compressors.

All sockets have an IP44 protection rating, meaning protection against objects >1 mm and splashing water from any direction. The enclosure itself meets the IP65 standard, making it dust-tight and resistant to water jets - useful for outdoor work.

The interior of the distribution board is factory-wired with H07V-K control wires with a cross-section of 2,5 mm²: yellow-green (protective), black (phase), and blue (neutral). The maximum connection wire cross-section is 16 mm², providing a margin when connecting even thicker distribution cables.

The included connection cable H07RN-F with a cross-section of 5 × 2,5 mm² (length approximately 70 cm) is terminated with a solid industrial plug 16A 400V 5P 6h IP44. The distribution board is ready to work immediately after connection to a power source - it requires no additional assembly or configuration. The set also includes a PG-16 cable gland, enabling a tight entry for the wires.

The equipment is effective everywhere temporary power is needed:

• on construction sites and during roadworks,
• in industrial plants during maintenance or breakdowns,
• in workshops and garages requiring power sockets,
• when organizing outdoor events and powering green areas,
• during self-build single-family home construction.

The RDF parameter of 0.8 indicates the ratio of continuous power to rated power - the device can operate with a load of up to 80% of the nominal power for longer periods, which is important when powering equipment operating in continuous mode.

The manufacturer has implemented a quality management system certified by TÜV SÜD in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard. The distribution board meets the requirements of the CE directive and the IEC 61439 standard, which specifies the design and testing conditions for factory-assembled switchgear. This confirms that the device has passed appropriate safety tests before being released for sale.
