Mobile power on the construction site - complete distribution system
The GR-S/FI SKH construction distribution board is a ready-to-connect distribution device designed for temporary electrical power supply in locations without permanent infrastructure. Equipped with sixteen single-phase sockets by Mennekes based on the German Schuko (2P+E) system, it enables the simultaneous connection of multiple receivers - from power tools to work lighting. Each socket has an IP54 ingress protection rating, meaning it is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any angle. This allows the distribution board to operate reliably even in rainy conditions in open areas.
Enclosure adapted to harsh conditions
The device is housed in a surface-mounted enclosure with dimensions of 400 × 515 × 135 mm, made of technopolymer - a material that is mechanically resistant and chemically neutral to typical substances encountered on construction sites (greases, solvents). The front plate is gray, the rear is black; the door is made of polycarbonate that maintains transparency even under intensive use. Stainless steel mounting screws do not corrode in damp outdoor environments.
IP54 sealing is ensured by a perimeter gasket made of EPDM rubber - a flexible material resistant to UV radiation and aging. A PG-29 cable gland is included, allowing for the introduction of the power cable without additional accessories.
The enclosure accommodates 19 modules arranged on a single three-phase rail (12 mm²), providing sufficient space for full distribution apparatus - as each socket has its own dedicated overcurrent protection.
Protections - full protection for the user and the installation
Safety is ensured by a two-level system:
- Eight C16A / 10 kA circuit breakers (one per pair of sockets) - react instantly to short circuits and overloads in individual circuits, isolating the fault without shutting down the entire device.
- 40A / 30 mA / 4P residual current device (RCD) - protects against electric shock from leakage current (indirect contact protection), a required standard for temporary construction installations.
The rated current of the distribution board itself is 40 A at a voltage of 230/400 V / 50 Hz. The short-circuit current capacity ICC is ≤10 kA, and the rated diversity factor RDF is 0.6 - data essential for temporary installation designers.
Internal wiring is made of H07V-K control wires: the yellow-green protective conductor and black phase conductors have a cross-section of 2,5 mm², while the neutral can be expanded to 6 mm² for better capacity under near-limit loads.
IEC 61439 factory standard - quality confirmed by an external body
The manufacturer has implemented a quality management system certified by TÜV SÜD according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. The distribution board itself meets the requirements of the IEC 61439 standard (low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies), meaning the design has been verified for mechanical strength, electrical insulation, and connection effectiveness - not just "on paper," but through type tests conducted by an accredited body. The device, of course, carries the CE declaration of conformity.
