Durable solution for construction site power supply

The foundation distribution board is a complete distribution station designed for permanent installation in the ground during the site preparation stage of an investment. Part of the enclosure (600 mm) is buried in the ground, while the part visible above the surface allows for easy connection of electrical devices throughout the entire investment cycle.

The enclosure is made of thermosetting polyester SMC (Sheet Moulding Compound) reinforced with glass fiber - a material resistant to corrosion, moisture, and UV radiation. The set includes an HS type (HSS) lock made of hardened steel, securing access to the apparatus against unauthorized persons.

Configuration of sockets and output circuits

The distribution board offers four sockets:

SCHUKO sockets are protected by a dedicated circuit breaker C16, 1P, 10 kA. Power circuits are handled by a C16, 3P circuit breaker with the same breaking capacity. The whole is complemented by an RCD 40 A / 30 mA / Type A, which monitors current leakage and cuts off the power in case of a ground fault.

Internal wires are H07V-K control cables with a cross-section of 2,5/6 mm² - yellow-green protective conductor, blue neutral, black phase.

Safety and compliance with standards

The enclosure protection rating is IP44 - protection against solid objects above 1 mm and protection against water splashes from any direction. Upon opening the door, the IP rating drops to IP20.

The manufacturer declares operation in temperatures from -25 °C to +50 °C. The rated prospective short-circuit current is ≤10 kA, and the RDF factor is 0.8.

The distribution board complies with the requirements of the IEC 61439 standard. Production is carried out under the TÜV SÜD ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, and each unit undergoes tests resulting in an individual certificate of conformity. Doktorvolt modular apparatus holds the VDE certificate.

Installation and operation

Installation consists of placing the distribution board in a previously prepared excavation and backfilling the hole while compacting the ground around the enclosure. The lower part of the enclosure does not require additional sealing - the design is adapted for contact with the ground.

Before commissioning, the continuity of the protective conductors and the operation of the RCD must be checked using the test button (T). Regular inspection of the modular apparatus should take place periodically during the operation of the construction installation.
