Freestanding charging stations for electric vehicles

The Doktorvolt brand EVSE charging station is a stationary device designed for the safe and efficient charging of electric vehicles in alternating current (AC) mode. The freestanding design allows for installation on private properties, in corporate parking lots, or in public utility areas - wherever a dedicated charging station with full access control is required.

A maximum power of 22 kW at a voltage of 400V AC and a rated current of 32A enables rapid energy replenishment even for vehicles with larger batteries. The charging power range is from 3.7 to 22 kW, meaning the device automatically adjusts parameters to the capabilities of the connected car - there is no risk of overload or mismatch.

Type 2 Socket and LED signaling

The device is equipped with a Type 2 charging socket compliant with the IEC 62196-2 standard. This is currently the most popular standard in Europe, fitting most electric vehicles available on the market - both European brands (BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Audi) and Asian manufacturers present in our market.

Charging takes place in Mode-3, which ensures two-way communication between the station and the vehicle. An intelligent controller monitors the process in real-time and automatically interrupts charging if an error state is detected - e.g., vehicle failure, overheating, or loss of connection.

LED diodes inform about the current operating status of the device: blue color means ready to charge, green signals an active charging process, and red alerts to an error requiring intervention.

RFID identification system

The RFID reader enables user authorization before starting the charge. The set includes 3 RFID cards, allowing several household members or company employees to use the station without the need for manual parameter setting. This solution works particularly well where the station is to be shared by many people - it eliminates the risk of unauthorized use.

Electrical protections and housing construction

The station includes a full package of protections guarding both the building installation and the vehicle itself:

• MCB C32A miniature circuit breaker - protects against overload current,
• B6A circuit breaker - protects control circuits,
• Type A RCD + RCMU module - detects leakage currents and protects against electric shock in case of insulation failure.

The RCMU (Residual Current Monitoring Unit) module monitors the continuity of the residual current throughout the entire charging duration, which significantly increases the level of safety compared to standard solutions.

The pedestal with dimensions 1150 × 180 × 120 mm is made of powder-coated aluminum in anthracite color. The powder coating ensures resistance to corrosion, scratches, and UV radiation - the housing does not fade or peel even after many years of exposure to sun and rain.

The IP54 protection rating means dust tightness and resistance to water jets from any direction. The station operates correctly in temperatures from −20 °C to +50 °C, making it suitable for outdoor installation even in colder regions of the country.

The manufacturer declares compliance with the following certificates: TÜV SÜD, ISO 9001:2015, CE, the IEC 61439 standard regarding low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies, and the EN 62196-2 standard for electric vehicle charging sockets. These attestations confirm rigorous quality testing of the device, meeting European safety requirements for AC charging infrastructure.
