Enclosure design and environmental resistance

The HL-S distribution board has a compact enclosure with dimensions 240.5 × 180 × 110 mm, made of technopolymer - an impact-resistant and corrosion-resistant plastic. The front plate is gray RAL 7035, while the back plate is black. The door is made of polycarbonate with a transparent foam seal - this allows the internal apparatus to be seen without the need to open it.

The mechanical resistance of the enclosure reaches IK09, which means protection against impacts with energy up to 10 joules. It has also passed the glow-wire test at a temperature of 650°C - confirming its resistance to high temperatures and its self-extinguishing capability. The maximum operating voltage is 750 V AC, and the entire unit is surface-mounted. The screws are made of stainless steel.

The operating temperature range between -25°C and +60°C allows the distribution board to be used during both freezing winter days and hot summers - which is important on open construction sites.

Equipped with sockets and protections

The DV-5354-F model is equipped with four sockets with different parameters:

• 2× power socket 400V - one 32A IP54 and one 16A IP54, both in red,
• 2× 230V 16A IP54 socket - for standard electrical devices.

The power sockets allow for the connection of heavy construction machinery, welding machines, or power generators requiring three-phase power. Each power socket is protected against access to live parts by probe-proof design and against water splashes from any direction.

Protection is provided by two circuit breakers from the Doktorvolt brand:

• C16A 6kA 3P circuit breaker (three-phase) - protects the power sockets,
• C16A 6kA 1P circuit breaker (single-phase) - protects the 230V sockets.

The C characteristic means a moderate delay during short-term inrush current spikes, so the breakers handle the starting of electric motors well. The distribution board is factory-wired and ready for connection - it is only necessary to bring the supply cable through the PG-16 cable gland to the LZ-4 terminal block.

Practical applications

The HL-S distribution board is suitable everywhere temporary or semi-permanent electrical power is needed:

• construction sites and roadworks - powering power tools, concrete mixers, work lighting,
• industrial plants and workshops - connecting machines requiring power sockets,
• single-family house construction - installation and finishing stages,
• green areas and outdoor events - a mobile power source outside of permanent infrastructure.

Thanks to its small dimensions, the distribution board does not take up much space and is easy to mount on a wall, pole, or temporary structure.

The production of Doktorvolt distribution boards takes place in a modern facility in Malichów (Opole Voivodeship). The company has implemented a management system certified by TÜV SÜD and holds the ISO 9001:2015 certificate. The enclosure complies with EN 60670-1 and EN 60670-24 standards, and the entire product is marked with the CE sign.
