Durable enclosure for harsh conditions

The TD-S/FI construction distribution board features a hermetic enclosure with IP65 protection class, which effectively protects electrical equipment from dust and water jets - even from inclined directions. Such resistance is crucial on construction sites, where cement dust, moisture, or rain are everyday occurrences.

The enclosure is made of technopolymer - a material resistant to impact and corrosion. The front plate is gray RAL 7035 (practical and visible in industrial conditions), while the rear plate is black. The door is made of polycarbonate - a partially transparent material, allowing for visual inspection of the device status without opening it.

The EPDM rubber gasket maintains flexibility across a wide temperature range and does not degrade under the influence of UV radiation or oils. The mounting screws are made of stainless steel - they do not rust even during long-term exposure to atmospheric conditions.

The dimensions of the enclosure with installed sockets are 360 × 250 × 185 mm, and the rated voltage of the enclosure is 1000V. A PG-16 cable gland for wire entry is included in the set.

Sockets and protections

The distribution board is equipped with two single-phase Schuko sockets (230V / 16A) with IP68 protection class - they are completely dust-tight and resistant to water immersion. Additionally, two three-phase power sockets (400V / 16A) in the red version with IP67 are installed - these withstand short-term immersion and dust.

Each socket has its own overcurrent protection: for single-phase sockets, these are C16 single-pole circuit breakers with a rated short-circuit current of 10 kA, and for power sockets - C16 three-pole circuit breakers with the same short-circuit current.

Protection against indirect contact is provided by a Doktorvolt Type A residual current device (40A / 30mA / four-pole) - it eliminates the risk of electric shock in case of insulation damage to connected devices.

The rated current of the distribution board is 40A, and the operating voltage is 230/400V at a frequency of 50Hz. The short-circuit capacity ICC is up to 10 kA, and the simultaneity factor RDF is 0.7.

Wiring and busbar

The interior of the distribution board is factory-wired with H07V-K type wires with cross-sections ranging from 2.5 to even 6 mm². Three cores are used:

• yellow-green (protective),
• black (phase),
• blue (neutral).

Such robust cross-sections minimize voltage drops at loads close to maximum power. A three-phase THT 12 mm² busbar accommodates eleven modules and is supplied with a set of end caps - the installer does not need to purchase additional end accessories.

The set also includes mounting screws with caps for mounting the distribution board on a wall or temporary structure.

The distribution board complies with the requirements of the CE directive, CEI-23-48/49 standards, and IEC (including IEC 670 for enclosures and IEC61439 for complete assemblies).
