PV AC distribution board 3F B16 300mA T2 Doktorvolt 2384 DV-2384-FOT
Three-phase photovoltaic distribution board for AC installations
The Doktorvolt PV AC distribution board is a complete solution for securing the AC side of a photovoltaic installation. In one surface-mounted enclosure, you will find all the necessary protective elements - a B16A MCB, an RCD, and a T2 class surge protective device. The device operates in a three-phase system, allowing for an even distribution of the inverter load across all network phases.
Enclosure and operating conditions
The enclosure made of technopolymer provides an IP65 protection rating - it is dust-tight and resistant to water jets. You can mount it directly on a building facade or in another location exposed to atmospheric conditions. The gray color RAL 7035 blends well with typical building elements.
Dimensions of 290 × 260 × 140 mm (with PG cable glands, the width increases to 295 mm) fit the standard format for modular distribution boards - you can easily fit it wherever there is space near the meter or the inverter. The set includes two PG-21 glands (for main cables) and one PG-11 (e.g., for grounding or communication).
The polycarbonate door is transparent - you can monitor the status of the modules without opening the distribution board. The EPDM rubber seal maintains flexibility even at large temperature amplitudes, and the stainless steel screws do not corrode under the influence of moisture.
Components and electrical protection
The SEZ Type S B16A MCB (3-pole) with a breaking capacity of 10 kA is responsible for circuit protection against overload and short circuits. The S characteristic (selective) ensures a delayed reaction during short-term current surges - reducing the risk of unnecessary trips during the startup of motors or other devices.
The SEZ 25 A / 300 mA / Type A RCD protects against electric shock in case of insulation failure - this is the fundamental anti-shock protection required for photovoltaic connections. Type A recognizes both sinusoidal currents (such as during a ground fault) and pulsating currents (typical for electronics). STN EN 61008-1 certificates confirm compliance with European safety standards.
The T2 class surge protective device - one four-pole module - is responsible for surge protection on the AC side. The maximum operating voltage is 275 V AC, and the protection level Up is below 1.8 kV. These parameters are adequate for standard PV installations in residential buildings and small commercial facilities. The nominal current In = 20 kA, and the maximum Imax = 40 kA - sufficient to handle atmospheric or switching surges in the network.
Compliance and certificates
The manufacturer has implemented a quality management system certified by TÜV SÜD according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. The enclosure meets the requirements of the EU RoHS directive (2011/65/EU) and the IEC 61439 series construction standards. The components have separate certificates - MCBs are VDE approved and comply with the STN EN 60 898 standard, while RCDs have undergone testing according to STN EN 61008‑1.
The entire unit is marked with the CE sign as a complete distribution device - you do not need to certify the set yourself during the photovoltaic installation handover.
