Flexible electric vehicle charging away from home

The Doktorvolt brand mobile WALLBOX station is a solution for electric and plug-in hybrid car drivers who need a flexible way to replenish energy away from home. The device operates in Mode-3 - meaning full communication between the station and the vehicle in accordance with the EN-IEC 61851-1 standard. Simply connect the cable with a CEE 16A 400 V plug to a power socket (e.g., in a garage, on a property, or at a company), and then connect to the Type 2 socket in the car.

Charging power reaches up to 11 kW with three-phase power - the device automatically adjusts parameters to the vehicle's capabilities (range from 3.7 to 11 kW), so there is no risk of overloading the installation or the battery.

Housing and weather resistance

The housing, with dimensions of 355 × 255 × 125 mm, is made of durable plastic designed for outdoor use. The IP44 protection rating ensures tightness against solid bodies with a diameter greater than 1 mm and protection against water splashes from any direction - making the station suitable for use outdoors, not just in a closed garage.

The material is UV resistant, which prevents degradation of color and structure during long-term exposure to sunlight. The front panel of the housing is gray, the rear is black; the whole unit weighs approximately 5 kg, so transporting it between locations is not a problem.

An ergonomic handle facilitates transport, and the inspection window provides quick access to the protection modules - useful for potential expansion or replacement of components.

Safety systems and LED signaling

The station is equipped with a two-level protection system - each level performs a different safety function:

• C16A overcurrent protection - protects against the effects of circuit overload.
• Type A RCD residual current protection + RCM module (RCMU) - detects DC leakage current generated by modern inverters in EV and hybrid vehicles. Traditional Type AC RCDs may not react to this type of leakage; the RCM module solves this problem.

The intelligent charging controller is responsible for communication with the car and automatically interrupts the process in case of an error - e.g., loss of grounding or an onboard system failure.

LED signaling informs about three operating states of the device:

The START/STOP button functions as a backlit main switch with a status indicator using flashing pulses.

Certificates, standards, and operating temperature range

The manufacturer holds the ISO 9001:2015 quality management certificate. The devices have been tested by TÜV SÜD and meet the requirements of the EMC directive 2014/30/EU, the PN-EN 61439-1 construction standard, and comply with EN 62196-2 regarding plugs and sockets for electric vehicles.

The operating temperature range is from -20 °C to +50 °C, allowing the station to be used year-round regardless of the season.
