WALLBOX wall-mounted charging station BASIC DOKTOROLT® 9109 DV-9109-EV
Power flexibility and universal Type 2 socket
The WALLBOX BASIC station enables AC charging with power adjustable in the range from 3.7 to even 22 kW. On the controller, the charging current can be set to one of five values - 10A, 16A, 20A, 25A or 32A - allowing the charging rate to be adapted to the current needs of the building's electrical installation or the user's preferences. A lower setting is useful for limited connection power; a higher setting maximizes the energy replenishment speed.
The Type 2 socket, compliant with the IEC 62196-2 standard, is currently the most popular standard in Europe. It fits most electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles available on the market - Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Volkswagen, Volvo, Tesla (with an adapter), or Chevrolet. The lack of a mechanical socket lock simplifies operation.
The device operates at a rated current of 32A and a voltage of 400V AC, and the entire process is carried out in Mode-3 - which is the safest method of communication between the station and the vehicle during the entire charging cycle.
Communication with the vehicle and operating status signaling
The intelligent controller manages the entire process - maintaining constant communication with the car's electronics via Pilot and CP signals. Thanks to this, the station automatically detects the vehicle connection and only begins charging after confirming the car's readiness. When the controller detects an error state (e.g., incorrect grid parameters or a vehicle failure), it immediately interrupts the process.
Three-stage LED signaling informs about the current status of the device:
- blue light - the station is ready to charge,
- green light - an active charging process is underway,
- red light - an error requiring intervention has been detected.
The START/STOP button functions as a backlit main switch - allowing for manual start or interruption of the charging session.
Housing adapted to outdoor conditions
The station has a housing made of durable plastic resistant to weather conditions. The front plate is gray, the rear is black; the dimensions of the housing itself (without sockets) are 355 × 255 × 125 mm. The IP54 protection rating means dust tightness and resistance to water splashes from any direction - WALLBOX BASIC works well when mounted both in a garage and outside a building.
The housing material is also resistant to UV radiation, so years of sun exposure do not cause degradation of the color or the plastic structure. The operating temperature range is from -20°C to +50°C, which covers typical climatic conditions in Poland throughout the year.
The construction is stationary - designed for mounting on a wall or another vertical surface using a revision window accommodating 12 modules. The PG22 gland allows for the introduction of a power cable with an appropriate cross-section.
Required external protections and certificates
The WALLBOX BASIC station does not contain a built-in residual current device (RCD) or overcurrent protection - before connection, it is necessary to install an external Type A residual current device (trip current minimum 30 mA) and a circuit breaker selected according to the charging current setting. The selection of these elements should take into account the maximum operating current of the controller (e.g., at a 32A setting, a C32 breaker will be required).
The manufacturer holds certificates confirming the quality of production processes (ISO 9001:2015) and independent safety verification by the TÜV SÜD unit. The station meets the requirements of the EU CE directive, the IEC 61439 construction standard, and the Type 2 socket standard (EN 62196-2).
