Liquid level indicator with thermometer – reliable measurement and control
This liquid level indicator, made of durable technopolymer based on polyamide (PA-T), is a solid solution for monitoring the liquid level in tanks. It is characterized by high resistance to impacts, solvents, oils with additives, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, gasoline and kerosene. Additionally, the built-in thermometer allows for continuous monitoring of the medium temperature.
Construction and mounting – flexibility and safety
The design of the indicator has been carefully thought out for easy installation in various conditions. Three installation methods are possible:
- Direct mounting: using the included set of screws and nuts from the inside of the tank.
- Mounting with threaded holes: when the nuts cannot be attached from the inside, the holes in the tank wall can be threaded and the indicator can be attached with screws without nuts.
- Mounting with FM Kit: in the case of too thin tank walls, a set of screws and an FM Kit quick-mounting kit (available separately) are used.
To ensure a leak-proof connection, it is recommended to use the maximum tightening torque of the screws – detailed values can be found in the technical documentation. It is also important to maintain the appropriate surface roughness of the mounting surface of the tank (Ra = 3 µm).
Durability and material resistance
The indicator is made of materials guaranteeing long-lasting and reliable operation:
- Body: transparent polyamide (PA-T) – resistant to aggressive chemicals.
- Fastening elements (screws, nuts, washers): galvanized steel – provides protection against corrosion.
- Seal: synthetic NBR rubber (O-Ring) – effectively prevents leaks.
- Screen: white aluminum placed behind the screen minimizes yellowing caused by the flow of hot liquid. It can be easily removed before mounting to apply additional markings (e.g. MIN-MAX).
Note: Avoid contact of the indicator with alcohol and detergents containing alcohol. The maximum operating temperature is 90°C when using oil. The indicator is resistant to most oils and solvents.
