Knurled screws – reliable fastening with the possibility of disassembly

The GN 653.2 knurled screw is a fastening element used wherever quick and convenient fastening with the possibility of disassembly without complete unscrewing is required. This is particularly useful in situations where access to the screw is limited or frequent disassembly is necessary during maintenance or adjustment. Made of ST steel, it combines strength and corrosion resistance.

Construction and mounting

A key feature of the GN 653.2 screw is the thread made only on the end part of the shank. The rest of the shank has a reduced diameter, which prevents the screw from being lost after partial unscrewing – this solution is appreciated by both installers and end users. Mounting is done through a threaded hole in the joined elements (d1). Depending on the design, an additional transition hole (d5) may be required in one or both elements.
