Locking pin – precision and reliability in fastening
This locking pin, made of high-quality steel, is the ideal solution for precise and secure fastening of components. The pin is available in two material versions: galvanized steel and stainless steel AISI 303. The choice of the appropriate material depends on the environmental conditions and requirements regarding corrosion resistance. Galvanized steel provides good protection against the effects of atmospheric factors, while stainless steel AISI 303 guarantees high resistance to chemical and mechanical corrosion. The pin body is made of steel, which ensures its strength and durability. Variants with a knob or retaining ring, made of high-impact polyamide-based technopolymer (PA) in black, are also available. This material is characterized by resistance to solvents, oils, lubricants and other chemicals.
Designs and application
The following variants of the pin are available:
- A: with retaining ring, without lock nut – ideal for applications requiring simple mounting with the possibility of quick disassembly.
- AK: with retaining ring and lock nut – provides additional protection against self-loosening of the pin.
- B: with knob, without lock nut – convenient to use, especially where frequent manual tightening and loosening are required.
- BK: with knob, with lock nut – a combination of ease of use with additional protection against loosening.
The recommended hole cooperating with the pin should be made with a tolerance of +0.06/+0.08, which ensures a precise fit and stable fastening. The pin diameter is 5 mm and the thread is M8. These pins are used wherever quick and reliable positioning of structural elements is needed.
