The N2XH-J 0.6/1 kV power cable is designed for electrical installations where safety and fire protection are paramount. Constructed with copper conductors of 5x2.5 mm² cross-section and halogen-free insulation, it minimizes the risk of toxic gas emission during fire—making it especially critical for public buildings, offices, and industrial facilities. This cable is ideal for applications requiring high resistance to temperature and mechanical damage.

Construction and properties

The N2XH-J cable features a robust design. Five stranded copper cores ensure efficient power transmission at a rated voltage up to 1 kV. Insulation made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) guarantees high electrical and mechanical strength. Additionally, the absence of halogens in the insulation significantly enhances safety in case of short-circuit or fire. The outer sheath, made of polyolefin, protects the cores from external environmental factors.

Applications and benefits

This cable is suitable for fixed installations, both indoors and within cable ducts. With a fire reaction class of Dca (s2, d0, a1), it complies with stringent fire safety standards, ensuring protection of life and property. Its flexibility facilitates installation even under challenging conditions. Note the maximum conductor operating temperature of 90°C and the wide ambient temperature range during installation (-5°C to +5°C). The minimum bending radius of 142.8 mm allows for easy routing through installations.
