CYKY-O 3x2.5 cable is a solid choice for electrical installations, both in residential and industrial buildings. It is a cable designed for fixed installation, providing reliable and safe power transmission. The construction with copper conductors and PVC insulation guarantees durability and resistance to mechanical damage.

Construction and properties

The cable consists of three copper conductors with a cross-section of 2.5 mm², which are insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC). These conductors are twisted, which increases the cable's flexibility and facilitates its laying. The color coding of the conductors – brown, black and grey – makes it easier to identify individual wires during installation. The lack of a protective (earthing) and neutral conductor requires taking this fact into account during the design of the installation. The durable outer PVC coating provides protection against external factors, as well as resistance to UV radiation, allowing the cable to be used both indoors and outdoors (with appropriate protection against direct sunlight). This cable is characterized by a fire reaction class of Eca, which means limited flammability and smoke emission.

Application and installation

The CYKY-O 3x2.5 cable is ideal for distributing power in circuits with a rated voltage of up to 750 V (450/750 V). It can be used to connect switches, contactors and other elements of the electrical installation. Due to the lack of a protective conductor, it is not intended for connecting sockets. The minimum bending radius during installation is 55.8 mm. The cable can be laid under plaster, in conduits or cable ducts, as well as directly on wood (with caution). Appropriate selection of protection (fuses) should be made by a qualified electrician. This cable is particularly useful in situations where greater mechanical resistance is required than with standard installation cables.
