Hermetic AC distribution box with surge protector and RCD
This Emiter distribution box, with an IP65 protection rating, is a comprehensive solution for protecting electrical installations in demanding conditions. Designed for reliability and safety, it combines the functions of a distribution box, a Type 2 surge protector, and a Residual Current Device (RCD). It is a ready-to-mount module that minimizes the risk of failure and provides protection against the effects of sudden voltage increases and short circuits.
Construction and application
The IP65-rated enclosure protects internal components from dust and moisture, making it ideal for use both indoors and outdoors – in places exposed to atmospheric conditions. The built-in Noark Type 2 surge protector with a current of 10A (3-phase) effectively suppresses voltage surges, protecting connected devices. Additionally, the Type A RCD with a rated current of 40A and a differential tripping current of 300mA provides protection to people against electric shock.
- Hermetic enclosure (IP65): Provides protection against dust and water jets, allowing installation in harsh environmental conditions.
- Noark Type 2 surge protector (10A, 3-Phase): Protects electrical devices from damage caused by sudden voltage increases.
- RCD Type A (40A/300mA): Provides protection to people against electric shock in the event of a short circuit to earth.
- Ready-to-use solution: The compact design integrating several functions in one device simplifies installation and saves space.
Safety and protection
This distribution box not only protects the electrical installation from damage but also increases the safety of use. The surge protector protects sensitive electronic devices from overvoltages caused, for example, by lightning strikes or power grid failures. The RCD provides a quick response in the event of a ground fault, minimizing the risk of electric shock. This makes it an ideal solution for both home and industrial installations – anywhere where high safety and reliability are required.
