The IBSB ADVANCED insulated braid is a ready-to-use solution, serving as an alternative to traditional cables. It is ideal for electrical connections, eliminating the need for time-consuming cutting, stripping and crimping. This product is characterized by high flexibility and ease of installation, which translates into time and cost savings for both the installer and the end user.

Construction and properties

The braid is made of tinned copper, which provides excellent protection against corrosion and long-term reliability. The strands with a cross-section of 100 mm² are characterized by class 5 (multi-strand flexible), which further increases flexibility and facilitates shaping. The flat strand shape and tinning improve electrical conductivity and minimize the risk of hotspots. The whole is protected by high-quality thermoplastic, halogen-free, low-smoke and flame-retardant insulation (UL 94 VO), guaranteeing safety of use. Additionally, the braid has a pierced grounding connector and a connection strip, which facilitates integration with existing electrical infrastructure.

Application and benefits

The IBSB ADVANCED braid finds wide application in electrical switchboards, control cabinets and anywhere where a flexible and reliable current connection is required. Thanks to its construction, it allows minimizing the space occupied by connections, as well as reducing the number of conductors needed to perform the installation. The ability to operate in the range from 80A to 630A makes this product universal and can be used in various applications. It provides excellent electrical conductivity and resistance to vibrations – which is particularly important in industrial applications. Additionally, high dielectric strength (20 kV/mm) guarantees safe operation even in difficult environmental conditions.
