Braided cables with insulation – reliability and flexibility of connections

Braided cables with insulation IBSB ADVANCED are ready-to-use cables, serving as an alternative to traditional cables. They eliminate the need for time-consuming cutting, stripping insulation and crimping terminals, which translates to time and cost savings for both the installer and the user. The product is designed for use in circuits with a current of 80A to 630A.

Construction and materials

The braid is made of high-quality electrolytic copper with a wire diameter of 0.15 mm, which ensures its exceptional flexibility and resistance to bending. The copper is additionally tinned to increase protection against corrosion. The insulation is made of thermoplastic, halogen-free material, which is characterized by low smoke emission and flame retardancy (UL 94 V0), which increases safety of use. The braid construction also includes reinforced ends and a connection strip, making installation easier. A perforated grounding connector provides additional installation safety.

Application and benefits

IBSB ADVANCED braids are widely used in electrical installations, especially where flexibility and reliability of connections are required. They are ideal for connecting automatic circuit breakers and in situations where standard cables are inconvenient or impractical. Thanks to their construction, they provide excellent electrical contact and high resistance to vibration and mechanical damage. The rated cross-sectional area of the conductor is 120 mm², and the length of 1030 mm allows for adaptation to various installation configurations. The flat shape of the conductor facilitates routing cables in tight spaces.
