Braided cables in IBSB ADVANCED 120-230-10 insulation 534428
Flexible current connection for demanding installations
The IBSB ADVANCED insulated braid is a ready-to-use solution that is an alternative to traditional cables. It is ideal in situations where speed and ease of installation are important, eliminating the need for cutting, stripping insulation or crimping. The product is designed to operate in the range of 80A to 630A, making it a versatile element in electrical installations.
Construction and properties
The braid is made of tinned copper, which provides excellent protection against corrosion and long-term reliability. The strands with a cross-section of 120 mm² are characterized by class 5 (multi-strand flexible) and a flat shape, which facilitates shaping and adaptation to the specifics of the installation. The insulation is made of a thermoplastic halogen-free, low-smoke and flame-retardant material (UL 94 VO), guaranteeing safety of use. In addition, the braid has a perforated grounding connector and a connection strip, which facilitates integration with the grounding system and connection to other installation elements.
Applications and benefits
This type of braid finds application in a wide spectrum of electrical installations, both in commercial and industrial construction. Its flexibility allows for easy routing in tight spaces and minimizes the risk of mechanical damage. Thanks to its high electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance, it ensures a stable and safe current connection for a long time. It also enables quick and easy installation, reducing downtime and labor costs. Additionally, the possibility of parallel use increases the permissible current – for two IBS 120 braids with ΔT = 50K, the permissible current is as high as 640A.
