Braided conductor with insulation – reliability and easy installation

The IBSB ADVANCED 120-630-10 braided conductor with insulation is a ready-to-use solution for connecting automatic circuit breakers, serving as an alternative to traditional cables. It eliminates the need for time-consuming cutting, stripping insulation, and crimping wires, which translates into time and cost savings for both the installer and the user. Designed for operation in the range of 80A to 630A, it provides a safe and efficient connection in electrical installations.

Construction and properties

The braid is made of tinned copper, which guarantees excellent electrical conductivity and compatibility with copper and aluminum wires. The flat shape of the conductor facilitates installation in tight spaces. The insulation is made of a halogen-free, low-smoke, and flame-retardant thermoplastic material (UL® 94V-0) ensuring a high level of safety. Additionally, a perforated grounding connector and the presence of a connection strip increase the functionality of the product.

The IBSB ADVANCED braid finds wide application in electrical installations of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. It is compatible with compact circuit breakers from popular manufacturers such as Schneider Electric, ABB, and Siemens. Its flexibility and dielectric strength (20 kV/mm) ensure reliable operation even in difficult conditions. Thanks to the high elongation of the insulation (500%), the braid is resistant to mechanical damage and ensures long-term operation. The peak short-circuit current of 70 kA further increases the safety of the installation. The insulation thickness is 1.8 mm.
