Braided conductors with insulation – reliability and flexibility in one solution

IBSB ADVANCED insulated braided conductors are ready-to-use grounding conductors, providing an alternative to traditional cables. This eliminates the need for time-consuming cutting, stripping insulation, and crimping – saving time and minimizing the risk of installation errors. The product is designed for use with automatic circuit breakers, providing effective protection for the electrical installation.

Designed for a wide range of applications, IBSB ADVANCED braids offer operating currents from 80A to 630A, and their construction based on high-quality electrolytic copper (wire diameter 0.15 mm) guarantees maximum flexibility and connection reliability. Made of tinned copper, they provide excellent protection against corrosion.

Construction features and materials

These braids are distinguished by the use of advanced materials and thoughtful design. The core made of multi-strand, flexible copper provides optimal conductivity and ease of shaping. Insulation made of thermoplastic, characterized by halogen-free, low-smoke and flame-retardant properties (UL 94 V0), increases safety and minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire. Additionally, reinforced ends ensure a durable and secure connection.

The construction of the braids also includes a perforated grounding connector and a connection strip, which facilitates installation and integration with existing electrical infrastructure. The flat shape of the conductor facilitates routing cables in tight spaces. A length of 630 mm allows for adaptation to different installation configurations. The rated conductor cross-section is 70 mm², which provides adequate current carrying capacity for demanding applications.
