Current transformer for control and measurement systems
The CTR-30 125/5 CL.0,5 current transformer is a reliable and precise device used in control and measurement systems, network parameter analyzers, and automatic power factor correction (PFC) systems. Its through-hole design and solid construction guarantee stable and accurate current measurements.
Construction and application
This transformer is characterized by a passage diameter of 30.5 mm, allowing for convenient cable routing. It is designed to work with circuits with a rated primary current of 125 A, converting it to a safe and measurable secondary current of 5 A. The rated apparent secondary power is 2.5 VA. Accuracy class 0.5 ensures high measurement accuracy, which is crucial in demanding industrial and energy applications.
Installation comfort and additional functionalities
The CTR-30 has been designed for easy installation and connection. The set includes:
- Cable holder with clamping screw – facilitates stable mounting of the measuring cable.
- Busbar holder with clamping screw – enables quick mounting on standard busbars.
- Mounting brackets for plate – provide flexibility in installation in various configurations.
Additionally, the transformer has connection terminals with a cover (IP20), which increases safety, and universal connection terminals for easy cable connection. The housing made of polycarbonate with fiberglass (flame retardancy UL 94V-0) ensures durability and resistance to external factors. The possibility of direct mounting on a busbar or mounting plate increases the versatility of the device.
Operating parameters and safety
The transformer operates in an ambient temperature from -20°C to +45°C, allowing its use in a wide range of environmental conditions. The system voltage can be up to 720 V at a frequency of 50/60 Hz. It provides a high level of safety thanks to the thermal short-circuit current (Ith) of 66 x In and the dynamic short-circuit current (Idyn) equal to 2.5 x Ith. Insulation class E (120°C max) guarantees reliable operation in difficult operating conditions.
