VV series fuse links are a proven protection element in medium voltage (MV) networks. Designed to protect electrical power equipment – cables, conductors, transformers, motors, and capacitor banks – against the effects of short circuits and overloads. Construction and operating principle

VVT-D3 fuse links are characterized by the presence of a thermal trigger. Its task is to activate the striker with a force of 80N when the temperature of the fuse body reaches approximately 120°C, regardless of the cause of the temperature increase. This design is particularly recommended for use in switchgear with SF6 gas. A solid ceramic tube and contacts protected galvanically and coated with nickel guarantee high durability and reliability. The fuse element made of silver ensures effective protection against overloads.

The VVT-D3 12kV/63A fuse link has a breaking capacity of 63 kA. It is designed to operate in alternating current (AC) networks with a rated voltage of 6/12 kV and a frequency of 50/60 Hz. The rated breaking current I3 is 220A, and the cold resistance Rc is 12 mΩ. These values determine its effectiveness in various operating conditions. Thanks to the high short-circuit breaking capacity and the precise operation of the thermal trigger, the fuse link provides effective protection of the electrical installation against damage caused by short circuits and overloads.
