The VVT-D3 24kV/10A fuse link is an element designed to protect medium voltage (MV) electrical and power equipment against the effects of short circuits and overloads. It is suitable for protecting cables, transformers, motors, and capacitor banks. The construction with a thermal trigger provides additional protection against uncontrolled temperature increases, which is particularly important in SF6 gas-insulated switchgear.

Construction and operating principle

The VV fuse link is equipped with a striker with a force of 80N, which is activated after the thermal trigger operates or a short-circuit current flows. The striker indicates the operation of the fuse link and enables the activation of the fuse disconnector tripping mechanism. VVT-D3 fuse links are characterized by high resistance to mechanical damage due to the use of a high-strength ceramic tube. Galvanically protected contacts and caps made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper guarantee reliable connections and long life.
