Construction and operating principle
This fuse link, equipped with a thermal trigger, reacts not only to short-circuit current but also to a rise in body temperature to approx. 120°C – regardless of the source of heat. This is particularly important in applications where short-term overloads should not cause a shutdown, but protection against overheating is crucial. Activation of the trigger activates a striker with a force of 80N, signaling intervention and enabling the operation of the fuse disconnector mechanism. After activation, the striker extends by approximately 30mm.
