Fuse link VVT-D3 24kV/6A is an element designed to protect medium voltage (MV) electrical and power equipment against the effects of short circuits and overloads. It is suitable for protecting cables, transformers, motors, and capacitor banks. The design of the fuse link, including the thermal release, provides protection not only against short-circuit currents but also against uncontrolled temperature increases.
### Characteristics and application
VV series fuse links, and particularly the VVT-D3 model, are characterized by high reliability and are a proven solution in medium voltage installations. Equipped with a thermal release, they trigger a striker with a force of 80N when the fuse body reaches a temperature of approximately 120°C – regardless of the source of heat. This is particularly important in SF6 gas switchgear, where traditional protection may be less effective. The breaking capacity of 63 kA guarantees effective circuit interruption in the event of a short circuit.
