The LPC 10 kVAr, 440V, 50Hz capacitor is a key element in power factor correction systems, designed to improve the energy efficiency of electrical installations. The aluminum housing protects the internal components and ensures durability in demanding working conditions. It is worth noting the presence of an overpressure disconnector – this is an important safety element that disconnects the capacitor from the network if the permissible operating parameters are exceeded. Screw terminals (for powers above 5 kVAr) facilitate installation and ensure a secure electrical connection.

Safety and practical application

LPC capacitors are equipped with discharge resistors, which, after disconnecting the supply voltage, reduce the voltage at the terminals to a safe level (75V within 3 minutes). This is important for the safety of personnel working on the installation. Thanks to this, maintenance or service work can be carried out without worry. These capacitors are used both in individual devices and in automatic capacitor bank systems. The possibility of vertical or horizontal mounting (with additional support) increases installation flexibility. Remember to ground the capacitor housing via the bottom mounting screw – this is another element ensuring safe use.
