Construction and application

The ESC-CBC.6 connector belongs to the ES Screw Type Terminal Blocks series, which means it uses a traditional screw connection. This is a proven method ensuring a secure contact and resistance to vibrations. Its single level and two terminals per level allow connecting two wires simultaneously. The connector is designed for mounting on a DIN TH-35 mm rail, which facilitates its integration with existing installations. It can be used with solid and stranded wires with a cross-section from 0.2 mm² to 10 mm², as well as with wires with ferrules (up to 6 mm²).

Safety and operating parameters

The ESC-CBC.6 connector is characterized by high resistance to external conditions and ensures safe operation in temperatures from -40°C to +100°C. The insulating material (thermoplastic) has a flammability class of V0 according to UL94 standard, which increases safety in case of a short circuit or overheating. Explosion-proof execution Ex-e confirmed additionally increases the scope of applications in difficult industrial conditions. The rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp is 12kV, and the maximum current at the rated cross-section is as high as 41A, and at the maximum cross-section – 64A. A required end stop provides additional protection against accidental contact with live wires.
