Flush-mounted enclosure for modular equipment
This flush-mounted enclosure, designed for mounting modular equipment, provides a robust and functional solution for both installers and end users. It ensures safe and aesthetically pleasing placement of electrical devices in residential buildings, offices, schools, and industrial facilities. The enclosure design guarantees an IP40 protection rating, preventing access to the interior and safeguarding against interference.
Design features and applications
The enclosure is constructed from high-quality white plastic and offers space for 14 modules. Its mounting depth is 88 mm and width is 346 mm, enabling convenient arrangement of equipment. Flush mounting ensures a discreet installation appearance. The enclosure has Class II protection, meaning reinforced or double insulation—no connection to the protective earth conductor is required. Manufactured in compliance with the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive, it minimizes electromagnetic interference.
Advantages and benefits
- Versatile mounting: Can be installed in concrete walls, masonry (using angle brackets), or gypsum-board partitions (special rear-mounted brackets available).
- Flexible door opening: Special hinge design allows easy switching between left- or right-hand door opening.
- Convenient cabling: Removable top and bottom entry ports simplify cable routing; a DIN rail mounting bracket enables pre-wiring in the workshop.
- Expandability: Enclosures can be connected vertically (using ECGBRV brackets) and horizontally (using ECGBRHP brackets) to create larger installations.
- Security: Door cover can be sealed, and a key lock prevents unauthorized access.
- Complete kit: Includes mounting brackets for concrete walls and gypsum-board partitions, a 6-module blanking plate, and a label sticker.
- PE/N terminals: Standardly equipped with PE/N terminals mounted at the top or bottom of the enclosure.
- Thermal resistance: Designed for operation in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 60°C; resistant to glowing wire test at 650°C (for masonry walls) or 850°C (for gypsum-board walls).
Thanks to this solution, installers can quickly and efficiently execute electrical projects, while end users benefit from a safe and visually appealing electrical installation.
