Intelligent three-phase motor starting control

Functionality and protection

The soft starter provides comprehensive control over the starting process, monitoring and regulating torque, current and power. Built-in protections protect the motor against overload, underload, overvoltage and voltage drops, which significantly extends its lifespan and minimizes the risk of failure. Additionally, the device has an error memory to facilitate diagnostics and quick troubleshooting.

Using a soft starter translates to a reduction in inrush currents during start-up, which relieves the power grid and reduces the load on the motor windings. This in turn leads to energy savings and lower operating costs. The ability to program relay outputs and an analog current control output allows for integration of the device with automation and control systems.

Mounting and parameters

The device operates at a rated voltage of 400 V AC and a current of 74 A. The construction of the soft starter has been designed with easy mounting and intuitive operation in mind. The lack of a built-in bypass contactor requires this to be taken into account when designing the installation – in some cases, an external one may be necessary. The ambient operating temperature is up to 40°C. The device is equipped with six types of starting characteristics, allowing for optimal adaptation to the specifics of a given drive.
