This Flamco XStream Vent air separator (DN40) is a key element of every modern heating and cooling installation. Construction and principle of operation

The XStream Vent separator uses the principle of partial and full flow with sedimentation, which guarantees effective air removal regardless of operating conditions. It is equipped with an integrated automatic air vent, which further facilitates maintaining optimal operating parameters of the installation. The housing made of brass ensures durability and corrosion resistance, and the internal gas tapered BSPP-G thread (ISO 228-1) allows for easy connection to existing pipelines with a nominal diameter of 1 1/2 inches (40). Additionally, the ability to rotate the connection by 360 degrees significantly facilitates installation in tight spaces.

Operating modes and benefits for the installer and user

XStream Vent offers unique ECO/MAX operating modes, which allow you to adjust the separator's operation to the current needs of the installation. In ECO mode, part of the flow is directed through the separator, which saves energy. In MAX mode, the entire flow is directed through the separator, maximizing the efficiency of air removal. Integrated EPP insulation with a thermal conductivity coefficient of 0.04 W/(m.K) minimizes heat loss, which translates to lower heating costs. A service indicator informs about the need for an inspection, making it easier to plan maintenance work. The separator is adapted to work in closed and open systems and in solar installations (although not dedicated to them), and also tolerates the presence of glycol at a concentration of up to 50%. The possibility of changing the flow direction eliminates the risk of incorrect installation. Pressure class PN 10 and operating temperature range from -10 to 120°C ensure a wide range of applications.
