Airmax³ 5GT heat pump with eco-friendly R290 refrigerant

Airmax³ 5GT heat pumps (2-6 kW) represent the third generation of air source heat pumps produced by Galmet. This is the manufacturer's first inverter heat pump to utilize the eco-friendly and efficient R290 refrigerant. The heart of the device is a modern inverter compressor, allowing for flexible modulation of heating capacity to suit the heating needs of practically any home - from energy-efficient new builds to older homes being modernized with radiator installations.

The R290 refrigerant possesses excellent thermodynamic properties. Combined with the inverter compressor, it ensures exceptional heat pump efficiency confirmed by the A+++ energy class (A7W35). It also allows for achieving high flow water temperatures - close to 70°C. Thanks to the use of a reversing system, 3 functions are combined in 1 device: home heating and cooling, and domestic hot water heating.

Advanced systems and intelligent control

Other important systems include Active Defrost - an intelligent, efficient defrosting system, and Anti-Freeze - active protection against freezing. User convenience is ensured by online control via an app or web browser.

The new heat pump management unit - Smart Home Sinum Lite is a true modern home management system. A single application provides full control over underfloor and radiator heating, Airmax³ heat pump cooling, Zephyr recuperator ventilation, lighting, roller shutters, or security. The system is designed for use in new and modernized buildings and allows for easy addition of further functions in the future.

Complete set with Gbox hydraulic module and tanks

A Gbox hydraulic module was specially designed for the new Airmax. The module includes: an energy-efficient electronic circulation pump with continuous speed regulation, a built-in three-stage flow heater 7 kW (2.33 / 4.66 / 7 kW), a three-way valve with an actuator, and a heat pump controller with a color touchscreen.

The Gbox module power supply is universal - 230V or 400V and depends on the selected connection variant. The configuration enables the operation of two heating circuits and wireless room sensors.

The Airmax³ 5GT (2-6 kW) heating set also includes a Tower Grand 160 l DHW tank and a 60-liter buffer tank. The SGW(S) Tower Grand 160 vertical enamelled exchanger is used for heating and storing domestic hot water. Insulation consists of hard polyurethane foam and a soft skay cover. Corrosion protection is provided by two magnesium anodes.

The SG(B) 60 buffer tank for heat pumps guarantees safe operation of the installation with the heat pump. It functions as a hydraulic separator and stabilizes the system's operation, which significantly extends the lifespan of the heat pump and the entire installation.

Efficiency and device operating characteristics

The monoblock design does not require F-gas qualifications during installation. The device can be automatically controlled based on a heating curve or a constant set temperature.

The heat pump offers a heating capacity modulation range from 2 to 6 kW, a nominal heating capacity of 4.8 kW at an outdoor temperature of +7°C (A7W35), a seasonal heating efficiency of 176%, and an A+++ energy class for temperate climates at a flow temperature of +35°C.

The acoustic pressure of the outdoor unit is only 40 dB, making the device very quiet even during intensive operation of the scroll inverter compressor driven by the eco-friendly R290 refrigerant with the lowest ODP = 0 (zero ozone depletion potential).
