Control Module MD-1/M – central element of the gas detection system

The MD-1/M control module is a device designed to control and power a single threshold gas detector. It is a key element of two-threshold gas detection systems and the Active Gas Installation Safety System (ASBIG). The module provides reliable monitoring and a quick response in the event of a dangerous gas concentration, protecting people and property.

Functionality and application

MD-1/M works with gas detectors of the type DEX/F, DEX/A, DG/F or DG.EN. It allows controlling additional optical and acoustic signaling devices, as well as cooperating with other devices via relay outputs. The /M version is distinguished by the presence of an RS-485 port, which enables integration with the Digital Gas Detection System (DGD) and configuration and data reading using the dedicated "DETnet View" software. This allows for remote monitoring and analysis of the system status.

Construction and user features

It has an alarm input (galvanically isolated), 12V= alarm outputs for powering signaling devices, and an emergency output informing about the module status or lack of power. This ensures comprehensive protection and reliable operation. The dimensions of the device are 165 x 190 x 90 mm, which allows for easy adaptation to the existing infrastructure.
