Gas detection alarm module

This control module, designated MD-4.ZA24, is a key element of gas detection and shut-off systems, ensuring safety in buildings and installations. Designed to work with gas detectors of the DEX/F, DG/F or DG.EN type, it enables control and power supply for up to four sensors. Its functionality includes not only monitoring gas concentration, but also controlling shut-off valves and alarm signaling.

Functionality and application

The MD-4.ZA24 module finds application in a two-threshold gas detection system and in the active safety system of the GX gas installation (ASBIG). It enables comprehensive protection through:

• Control of up to four gas detectors.
• Control of external optical and acoustic signaling devices.
• Cooperation with other devices via relay outputs.
• Control of a gas shut-off valve (in versions with a "Z" output).
• Optical signaling and memory of alarm states.
• Alarm input for integration with fire alarm systems or a manual valve switch.

Thanks to this, the module is an integral part of the "signaling and shut-off system", meeting the requirements of the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure of the Republic of Poland of April 12, 2002.

Technical characteristics and benefits

The MD-4.ZA24 module is characterized by a supply voltage of 24V=, which ensures compatibility with a wide range of electrical installations. It has two 12V= alarm control outputs and two relay outputs, allowing flexible connection of additional alarm and actuator devices. The "FAILURE" relay output informs about any problems with the module or lack of power supply, which facilitates diagnostics and system maintenance. In addition, the presence of a shut-off valve control output (in "Z" versions) allows for automatic shut-off of the gas supply in the event of a hazard – this is crucial for ensuring the safety of users and property. It is worth noting that the module has removable terminals that facilitate assembly and connection of single- and multi-strand wires without the need for ferrules.
