Control module for gas detection systems

This control module, designed to work with GAZEX detectors, is a key element of the Digital Gas Detection System (DGDS). It enables the control of a single threshold detector and integration with the entire system, ensuring reliable monitoring and response to hazards. The device is dedicated to working with the MDD-256/T supervisory module, communicating via the industrial standard RS-485 (MODBUS RTU protocol).

Functionality and mounting

The MDD-1x/T module offers versatile configuration options. It allows powering and controlling two-threshold detectors of the DEX/F, DG/F, DG.EN or DEX/A type – the selection is made using a function switch. Additionally, there is an option to disable the detector power supply, which increases the system's flexibility. Mounting is done on a standard TS35 rail in electrical switchboards, which facilitates integration with existing infrastructure. Removable, screwless terminals allow for quick installation and maintenance, accepting both single- and multi-strand wires (cables) without the need for ferrules.

Configuration and compatibility

Module settings are configured using dedicated configuration software "DETnet View", available on the manufacturer's website. The module is compatible with GAZEX detectors, allowing the construction of complex gas detection systems tailored to specific needs. The module is powered by 24V=, ensuring stable and reliable operation. RS-485 communication allows integration with other devices in the system, enabling central supervision and control. The device dimensions are 35 x 90 x 65 mm – a compact design facilitates installation even in limited space.
