The MDD-C32/T control module is a key component of the GAZEX Digital Gas Detection System (DGDS), designed to control external relays, such as the RM type. The device offers 32 independent OC outputs, and the status of each is clearly indicated optically on the front panel – facilitating quick identification of the alarm status.
This control module finds application in both professional gas detection installations and systems requiring precise control of external devices. Communication is via the industrial standard RS-485 and MODBUS RTU protocol, ensuring reliable data exchange with the master module MDD-265/T. The communication port is galvanically isolated, which increases resistance to interference and ensures system safety.
Functionality and flexibility
MDD-C32/T stands out for its versatility thanks to four output assignment operating modes, configurable via a switch. These allow you to adapt the module's operation to the specific needs of the installation:
- Output dedicated to a single detector – signals the status A1, A2 or a combination of A1/A2.
- Pair of outputs for one detector – one output for status A1, the second for A2.
- Ability to cooperate with MD(P)-16(8,4) modules as a relay output splitter (RWS), with automatic configuration for specific detector states.
- Function of generating a test sequence of outputs – useful during system commissioning and maintenance.
Additionally, the module can be configured remotely using the master module MDD-256/T or dedicated software „MDD256 View”, available on the manufacturer's website.
Mounting and installation
The MDD-C32/T module has been designed with easy mounting and servicing in mind. The housing is adapted for mounting on a standard TS35 rail in electrical switchboards. Removable, screwless connection terminals allow for quick and convenient connection of single- and multi-strand wires without the need for crimp ferrules. The module is powered by 24V= with an allowable range of 10.0 ÷ 30V. The dimensions of the device are 106 x 90 x 65 mm.
