Control module for gas detection systems

This control module, designed to work with the GAZEX Digital Gas Detection System (DGDS), expands the system's capabilities with local control of actuators and signaling devices. It allows for the separation of independent detector groups – up to 32 in one group – with dedicated control. This solution is ideal for applications requiring precise control and a rapid response to hazards.

Functionality and application

The MDD-R4/T module offers four relay outputs and two 12V= alarm outputs. The galvanically isolated relay outputs allow control of various devices – from fans and motors to contactors and building automation systems. The 12V= alarm outputs, in turn, are used to activate acoustic and optical signaling devices, providing a clear alarm signal. Communication with the supervisory module MDD-256/T is via the RS-485 standard with the MODBUS RTU protocol, guaranteeing reliable data exchange.

Installation and configuration

The MDD-R4/T module has been designed for easy installation and configuration. The housing adapted for mounting on a TS35 rail allows installation in standard electrical panels. Configuration of settings is done via the master module MDD-256/T (manually or using the dedicated "MDD256 View" software), providing flexibility and adaptation to individual needs. Removable terminals facilitate the connection of wire and cable without the need for ferrules, reducing installation costs.
