Control module for alarm indicators – reliable hazard notification

This MDD-S2 alarm output module is designed to work with the GAZEX Digital Gas Detection System (DGDS). It is used to control optical and acoustic indicators, providing effective notification of a detected hazard. The ability to connect 12V= indicators (e.g., SL-32, SL-21, S-3x, LD-2) makes it a universal solution in signaling systems.

Functionality and installation

The MDD-S2 module offers two independent 12V= alarm outputs, allowing you to connect two indicators. It can be installed anywhere on the DGDS bus (except in explosion hazard zones) and acts as a junction box. The module is powered from the 24V= bus using a single FTP cable, simplifying wiring. Thanks to the possibility of setting the RS485 bus terminator, it ensures stable communication in the system.

Installation and maintenance comfort

The module design has been carefully thought out for quick and easy installation. All terminals are screwless and removable, and the indicator terminals allow direct connection of stranded wires without the need for ferrules. Module testing is performed "non-contact" using a magnet – there is no need to open the housing, which increases safety and service convenience. Configuration of settings is done via the master module MDD-256/T or dedicated configuration software "MDD256 View". The housing with IP54 protection degree protects the components from dust and moisture, ensuring reliable operation even in harsh environmental conditions.
