Hydrogen Sulfide Detector DG-5E/N – Reliable Hazard Detection
The DG-5E/N two-threshold hydrogen sulfide detector is a device designed for continuous monitoring of H2S concentration in industrial and enclosed spaces. It serves to detect dangerous gas levels, ensuring worker safety and protecting against potential hazards. This detector, thanks to its replaceable sensor module, offers flexibility in selecting a sensor to suit specific application needs.
Functionality and application
The DG-5E/N detector is compatible with various control modules, such as MD-1.A/T, MD-1, MD-2, MD-4 and MDP-1.A/T, MDP-1 PLUS, MDP-4, MDP-8, MDP-16. This allows integration with existing alarm and control systems. The device has two alarm thresholds (factory set), allowing for a quick response when permissible hydrogen sulfide concentration levels are exceeded. Built-in optical signaling informs about the detector's operating status.
- H2S Detection: A specialized electrochemical sensor provides a precise measurement of hydrogen sulfide concentration.
- Two-stage alarm: Two alarm thresholds allow for distinguishing the level of hazard and responding accordingly.
- Replaceable sensor: Facilitates detector calibration and repair, and enables changing the sensor type depending on needs.
- Optical signaling: Built-in LED informs about the device's operating status and any alarms.
- Splash-proof housing: Provides protection against moisture and dirt (IP44).
Construction and characteristic features
The DG-5E/N detector is characterized by its simple construction and ease of installation. The housing made of high-impact ABS is resistant to mechanical damage. It is worth emphasizing that this detector is not intended for use in explosion-hazardous areas. The modularity of the device and the lack of the need for calibration at the installation site significantly simplify the design and commissioning process of the gas detection system. All GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own laboratory accredited according to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA accreditation no. AP150), which guarantees high measurement accuracy.
The detector dimensions are 110 x 140 x 55 mm, which facilitates its installation in various industrial locations. Power is supplied from an external system, ensuring continuous operation of the device.
